Bachelor's degree: Department of Journalism, Lehigh University

Postgraduate non-credit courses: Public Relations from NYU, photojournalism and studio portraiture at The New School, New York.
Video production: Learned from my son while he was a visual communications major at Ohio U - so his education was kind of a "two-fer."
Video subsequently became a major offering to rehab system clients, developing YouTube and website video/text/stills case histories for their hospital, clinic and senior-living community customers and PR.
Interests
Photojournalism & International Relations: Combined in pro bono work for the international women's political empowerment organization Inclusive Security, founded by former ambassador and Harvard Kennedy School professor Swanee Hunt (portraits on mission page by me)

Amateur radio: Learned from father who passed in 2005, after which the FCC granted me his call letters, W3PYF. Formerly held ON8RZ from Belgium residence.

Sailing: Began on a Sunfish, graduated to Cal 20 and Cal 2-29, finally an Ericson 38 - "Mel's Angel"
