The COVID-19 pandemic was anticipated in “Clade X” a simulation held by the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security, in May 2018. Clade X simulated a bioweapon that, over 20 months, killed 150 million worldwide. It demonstrated just how unprepared America was for a pandemic.
